Overview:

Years ago our founders John Flippin, John Bruce, and Greg Porter decided to establish Flippin, Bruce & Porter and because they each had considerable investment management experience they soon realized their different strengths allowed them to work effectively together. More importantly, they shared fundamental similarities in their approach to managing money.

Today, we have grown into a group of skilled professionals who offer solid, conservative investment strategies with the client’s best interest in mind. In building a strong relationship with our clients, we use a time-trusted, disciplined value approach. Our process has been in place for over 20 years and is a conservative and highly effective approach to managing portfolios. Simply put, it is a strategy of acquiring stocks that are out of favor with the typical investor and selling them when they are strongly in favor.

The firm’s activities involve independent discretionary investment management for retirement, endowment and individual portfolios. FBP also manages two no-load mutual funds. Our current asset base is $1.1 billion as of March 31, 2010. FBP is 100% owned by current employees.
