History:
1989 – Marvin Kaulkin founded our company in order to provide merger and acquisition advisory services to local middle market companies
From the beginning, the company grew quickly – providing services to executives throughout the US and abroad for divestitures, mergers, acquisitions, financings, and financial/ strategic partnerships. Kaulkin Ginsberg has completed transactions in the business services, food, software, electronics, IT, environmental, construction, defense, distribution and manufacturing industries. Our firm has also participated in project finance and international power projects.
1991 – Kaulkin Ginsberg begins specializing in the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) Industry
Our success has been especially noteworthy in the area of business services, and we began specializing in the Accounts Receivable Management (ARM) sector in 1991. Clients represent related business service industries as well, like CRM, direct marketing, direct mail, and staffing. Within debt management, we specialize in collection agencies, accounts receivable management, billing, and medical administration firms.
Kaulkin Ginsberg advised on many pivotal ARM transactions over the years, including the first major agency sale to an outside investor, the first and only industry roll-up IPO, and the first large-scale multinational transaction.
1994 – We established the Kaulkin Report™ as the definitive industry reference source
In the early ‘90s, ARM began to attract interest from outside investors, but there was a lack of quality, reliable market data that investors needed to make informed decisions. To address this void, we began publishing the Kaulkin Report in 1994. The report provides a detailed overview of the industry including analysis and insight on developing trends in the market. Now in its 7th edition, this seminal research study has been cited in the public filings of leading corporations, in The Wall Street Journal, and in many documents supporting private transactions in the industry.
1999 – Kaulkin Ginsberg launches the industry’s first information website, now called insideARM.com®
From the launch of Collectionindustry.com in 1999 to the re-launch of the site as insideARM.com in 2007, Kaulkin Media has grown to become the industry’s most popular online information source. We provide news and information on the recovery of debt in all industries, putting the news in perspective, providing unique insight into challenges that face the industry, and facilitating collaboration among peer executives. Publications include www.insidearm.com, jobsinsidearm.com, The ARM Insider™, and other monthly e-newsletters for the ARM industry. Kaulkin Media’s analyst group conducts sector-specific research that provides a level of authority and in-depth analysis not found anywhere else.
Today – We offer complete strategic advisory services to ARM companies, and services to credit grantors
Our years of expertise and deep knowledge in this industry have allowed us to expand our service capabilities beyond M&A. For ARM service providers, we offer a full array of strategic advisory services to support almost every stage of a company’s life cycle, from strategic analysis, to growth and exit strategies. Credit grantors have utilized our expertise to maximize their debt sale strategies and improve the recovery performance of their internal and outsourced collections.
