Overview:

We are an independent, fee-only financial advisor. We're based in Bethesda, Maryland with clients in several states and the District of Columbia. We give advice, develop financial plans and manage investments for our clients. Our name "Altius" means "higher" in Latin. We'd like to guide your finances to a higher plane.

We can help you in many ways: answer your questions on financial matters, explain complex financial concepts to you, help you set realistic financial goals, develop a financial plan for you and manage your investments.

Our clients are varied in their backgrounds, professions and ages. They range from working professionals to retirees, from journalists to attorneys and from single women to couples. They come from many parts of the world -- from New York City to San Francisco and from Kolkata to Berlin. Despite their differences, they share a few common traits: (a) they have decided to seek advice from a professional, fee-only advisor, (b) they, for the most part, do not want to manage their own investments and (c) they are delegators, willing to entrust their investments to us to manage.
