Fischer Francis Trees & Watts, Inc TM (FFTW) is a specialist manager of single and multi-currency fixed income investment portfolios, acting on behalf of institutional clients around the globe.

FFTW manages over US$17 billion* from our offices in New York, London and Singapore. Our clients include central banks, official institutions, pension plans, superannuation schemes, corporations, insurance companies, foundations, endowments and mutual funds.

FFTW is a wholly-owned subsidiary of BNP Paribas, and is a dedicated provider of institutional fixed income products and capabilities for BNP Paribas Investment Partners, the investment management offering of BNP Paribas.

History:

July 2007 marked Fischer Francis Trees & Watts’ thirty-fifth anniversary. The company was founded in 1972. The firm’s founders aimed to start a company that would specialize solely in the active management of fixed income portfolios for institutional investors.

Over the next 17 years FFTW focused on the management of US fixed income securities, building a reputation for its customized approach to investor needs and attracting a wide variety of high profile institutional clients.

1989 was a milestone year in the firm’s history with the opening of our London office. The success of this office led to further expansion and in 1995 FFTW opened their Singapore office to service clients based in the Asia Pacific region and to provide portfolio management services focusing on Asian and Pacific markets.

1999 saw another key development when, in the third quarter, FFTW and BNP Paribas announced the formation of a strategic alliance. This alliance enabled BNP Paribas to expand into the institutional fixed income business and FFTW was designated the exclusive provider of institutional global fixed income asset management services for BNP Paribas. In December 2006, FFTW became a wholly-owned subsidiary of the BNP Paribas Group
