First Manhattan Co. provides investment management services to individuals, partnerships, trusts, retirement accounts and institutional clients. Our clients interface directly with a portfolio manager who has the expertise and experience needed to make appropriate unbiased investment decisions on their behalf. Our client relationships are typically long-term. For many clients, we are managing accounts of the second and third generation.

First Manhattan Co. manages investments on a fully discretionary basis for accounts ranging from under $1 million to over $100 million. Since our founding, the total assets and number of portfolios under our supervision have grown significantly due to both portfolio appreciation and referrals of new accounts by existing clients.

First Manhattan Co. was founded in 1964 and remains an owner-operated business. The firm is registered with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission as an investment adviser and as a broker-dealer, and is a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA)(www.finra.org).
