Our Firm

Magnitude Capital, LLC manages over $3.1 billion in several multi-strategy funds of hedge funds. Magnitude’s multi-strategy, multi-manager investment mandate is flexible so that we can focus our resources on strategies facing unusually attractive opportunities and managers who demonstrate a tangible edge relative to competitors.

Our Role

Magnitude believes that hedge fund investing is valuable primarily for the diversification it offers. While passive equity, credit, and fixed income exposures are better sourced outside of hedge funds, a well-constructed hedge fund portfolio can offer investors valuable, skill-based returns that are hard to access elsewhere. Since inception, we have focused on delivering attractive risk-adjusted returns to investors, while seeking to limit exposure to passive risk factors.

Our Team

Over the last ten years, Magnitude has carefully assembled an investment team whose members held senior roles inside of hedge funds. The firm’s six portfolio managers share an unusual level of experience that includes managing large hedge funds and hedge fund strategies. Magnitude emphasizes the importance of developing an investment culture that draws upon this expertise.

The investment team is supported by an experienced group of finance, operations, legal, technology, and investor relations professionals, many of whom also spent significant time at hedge funds prior to joining Magnitude.
