History:
Liberty Bay Credit Union, formerly Telephone Workers' Credit Union, was formed in Boston on March 3, 1917, to serve the employees of New England Telephone. There have been numerous changes in the communications and financial services industries since that time. However, our dedication and commitment to providing our members with the best products and services available remains our top priority.
Today, Liberty Bay Credit Union serves the Greater Boston area, and with over 27,000 members it is one of the oldest and most established credit unions in New England. Historically the Massachusetts-based credit union served the financial services needs of employees of all companies providing services and technologies for the purpose of the transmission and processing of information, voice, data, and video. However, in an effort to better compete with banks in the marketplace and provide our services to the community, we changed our company charter in December 2005 and now provide those same financial services to anyone who lives, works, or attends school in the Greater Boston area.
Liberty Bay Credit Union offers a full range of financial and banking services, including a complete line of checking products, low-rate mortgage, equity, and auto loans, consumer loans, credit cards, high-yield deposit products - and even business services. And with our network of automated teller machines (ATMs), MoneyLine (our 24/7 touch-tone teller service), and Online Banking, members have convenient access to their funds as well as information about their accounts from home, work, or when traveling.
Furthermore, we can assure you that if you need information about your accounts or the services offered by the credit union, you will be given prompt and considerate attention. After all, members make the credit union a success, and we feel that you deserve the very best. Please don't hesitate to contact us with your comments and suggestions. If there's a way we can serve you better, please let us know. |
