Chrysalis Ventures manages one of Mid-America’s largest funds for early-stage and growth investments with approximately $400 million under management. Since 1993, we have invested in over 65 companies, primarily in the Healthcare and Technology sectors. With headquarters in Louisville, Kentucky, Chrysalis has offices in Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Ann Arbor and Houston. We seek to partner with entrepreneurs to build enduring businesses in industries undergoing significant transformation.

Chrysalis invests far more heavily in the people who work with, advise, analyze and support our portfolio companies than many of our peers. Our large team of professionals allows the firm’s Managing Directors to find, evaluate and quickly complete deals across the size spectrum; and to provide a superior level of support to entrepreneurs in executing ambitious growth plans.

On behalf of our portfolio companies, we leverage a network of high-value relationships built over the firm’s 20-year history that extends across industries and geographic regions. This network is a ready resource for everything from building new customer relationships to sourcing the best talent and advisors.

Our principals sit on the boards of more than 25 companies and are in regular contact with strategic partners and co-investors, as well as management talent, executives and directors of public and private companies who provide industry insight.

Supplementing the Chrysalis team is a network of successful entrepreneurs- or executives-in-residence (EIRs) who have been atrracted to work with the team to help diligence opportunities, work on their next project or consult with Chrysalis portfolio companies. Many serve on our boards, although this is not a requirement.
