CIFA has indeed grown and achieved many of its goals:
The 12 European partner associations and federations we had in those days have become 42, with three in Canada, one in Singapore and our latest one in Argentina — with more to come in several parts of the world. http://www.cifafound.ch/associations.asp
After five years of CIFA’s International Forum in Geneva, we went to Prague in 2008 and to Paris in 2009, and will hold our 8th Forum in April 2010 in Madrid.
Two years ago, CIFA became the first (and still only) financial NGO in special consultative status with ECOSOC (United Nations, New York). CIFA is also accredited with UNCTAD, and is the possessor and custodian of the Charter of Investors’ Rights.
We are currently developing a further partnership with the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).
We are always open to new partnerships with associations pursuing similar goals, and would of course be interested in having a global certifying organization such as yours among our partner associations.
Let’s get to Madrid!
