The 30th anniversary conference in Interlaken was very successful and showed that despite the difficult market situation it is important to meet, discuss and exchange views and ideas and also to network. The more things get automated the more important it is to meet personally!
The 2010 conference will take place from September 8 to 11, 2010, again at the Victoria-Jungfrau Grand Hotel & Spa, a resort that has proven to be a great meeting place during the last two conferences
The conference will be preceded by the traditional international regulator’s meeting – on special invitation and for regulators only – as well as the Emerging Markets Forum. The latter was not held in 2009 (instead we included two panels in the main session) but we decided to bring it back as popular demand for this gathering was great. For the first time we will hold a Structured Products Forum this year, an event organized in co-operation with the Structured Products Industry. All events will take place on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, from 08.45 AM (tbc) to 03.30 PM, followed by the official opening at 04.00 PM. On Thursday and Friday we will have highly interesting discussions and debates on a broad range of timely topics.
While business will constitute the core of the event, numerous social activities will offer unique networking opportunities at this fantastic venue, as has been the case in the past. The official part of the conference will end with the Friday night cocktails and gala dinner, allowing participants to return home on Saturday – if they so wish. No doubt many will prefer to stay a couple more days to enjoy the surrounding breathtaking alpine scenery.
Last year the Saturday Special featured a trip to the “Schilthorn”, made famous by the James Bond movie “On Her Majesty’s Secret Service”. We are currently working on the Satureday special in order to propose another exciting excursion in the Bernese Alps. Information will become availabe on our website in the weeks to come.
Our conference is a unique gathering of representatives and members of exchanges, clearing organizations, banking and brokerage entities, servicing institutions and industry associations as well as regulatory agencies from all over the world.
