Mean income is calculated by dividing the total income of area residents by the number of residents in the area.
    
Mean household income is obtained by dividing the total household income by the number of people living in the household. Income is the sum of all the wages, salaries, profits, interests payments, rents and other forms of Earnings received in a given period of time.
