Achmea Hypotheekbank NV
Achmea Bank is a subsidiary of the Achmea Group. Achmea Bank provides mortgage loans and savings to private customers under the labels Centraal Beheer Achmea, Woonfonds and FBTO. This site contains information on Achmea Bank and its financing programmes.

Achmea Bank is largely compliant with the Banking Code. In 2013, Achmea Bank had not completely adopted the Banking Code principle of putting customer interests first (principle 3.2.2.) but took important steps towards doing so. Achmea Bank’s ambitions in this direction, however, go beyond full compliance and further steps need to be taken before ‘Customer Interests First’ becomes embedded in the organisation to the desired extent on a lasting basis. The departure of the Finance & Risk Director from Achmea Bank at the beginning of Q4 2013 created a vacancy on the Executive Board, which was filled at the time on a temporary basis. This meant that Achmea Bank did not formally comply with principle 3.1.1. in the fourth quarter of 2013 in as much as an Executive Board of two members is deemed necessary pursuant to the articles of association. A permanent appointment was made in the first quarter of 2014 and Achmea Bank has once again had an Executive Board comprising of two company directors as from that date. Achmea Bank was also not in total compliance with principle 3.1.8. in that various commercial targets had been agreed with the former financial director. In practice, however, there was always adequate segregation of duties but no commercial targets will be agreed with the new appointee.
