Farès Koussay El Heni, Managing Partner, Managing Partner Tunis, Deputy Head Africa Group

Fares is the Managing Partner of Eversheds Sutherland EL Heni and Deputy Head Africa Group.

Prior to joining Eversheds EL Heni in 2011 as a managing partner, Fares worked as a lawyer in Paris at CFS, Winston & Strawn and Eversheds.

Fares advises and assists international companies, including those wishing to implement themselves in Tunisia, in business law, and more specifically on investments, currency exchange regulations, specific regulations, competition aspects and M&A.

Fares has vast experience in driving clients’ projects through a full legal coverage and management allowing his clients to work with a pragmatic and supportive partner in Tunisia but also in Africa.

He focuses on corporate/M&A, commercial, social and labor law, projects, energy and infrastructure matters.

Mohamed Raouf El Heni, Partner, Chairman Mohamed Raouf El Heni is a Partner in our Tunis office, and Head of our litigation team.

Mohamed Raouf is a lawyer before the Tunisian Cour de cassation (Tunisian supreme court) who has practiced in Tunisia for over 30 years and has obtained a diploma in Business Law from the University Panthéon-Sorbonne (Paris, France). Prior to founding Eversheds Sutherland El Heni, Raouf worked as a lawyer at the US law firm Pope in Paris for eight years.

Mohamed Raouf, who has a longstanding experience of Tunisian law, advises on contentious and non-contentious issues in business law, banking & finance, corporate commercial law and tax law.

Mohamed Raouf also regularly advises the largest international financial groups established in Tunisia on banking, insurance and real estate issues. Mohamed Raouf has been teaching business and financial law at the Université Libre de Tunis for several years.

He speaks French, English and Arabic fluently.

Yecine Ellouze, Senior Associate

Yecine is an Associate in our Litigation and Dispute department.

He handles a broad range of commercial disputes and contractual claims on an international and domestic scale as well as specializes in professional negligence and investigations work.

His recent experience includes dealing with complex contractual disputes, contentious insolvency and arbitration focusing more on industrial property, commercial lease and shareholder disputes. He regularly advises human resources managers seeking specialist advice on social law.

Alissa Ourak, Principal Associate. Deputy Head of the Corporate Department

Alissa Ourak is our Principal Associate in the Corporate/M&A department.

Alissa Ourak graduated from the ESCP Europe with an advanced Master’s in International Business law and Management as well as from University Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas with a Master’s in law.

Prior to joining the law firm Eversheds Sutherland El Heni as an associate, Alissa worked in Gide Loyrette Nouel law firm as an associate in Tunisia. Alissa leads the Mergers & Acquisitions team, she has a strong experienced in M&A deals, joint ventures, foreign investment, and the regulation aspects for more than 6 years.

Alissa is currently advising industrial groups for the development of their business in Tunisia. She is also assisting various foreign companies and investment funds investing in innovative start-up over the region.
