We believe in a practitioner driven Investment approach as we know what it takes to build, scale and list technology companies in India and the US. Investing 'innovation capital' and partnering with teams determined to build scalable businesses With a strong focus on enterprise technology, we look to back technology driven product companies that have development in India but scalable across the Globe. We are looking for entrepreneurs with proven domain expertise and market know-how. We understand 'new-age' technology driving workplace innovation and some areas of our interest include Mobility, Cloud, Software defined hardware, IoT, Analytics, AI etc We selectively also invest in opportunities that addresses the structural challenges in India to create disruptive impacts eg- improving efficiency of logistics, governance etc or specific opportunities that address the large India consumer market via marketplaces or aggregations.

Team

Balakrishnan V, Chairman

Prior to founding Exfinity, Bala served as Head of BPO, Finacle & India Business Unit at Infosys. Bala also served as the Chief Financial Officer of Infosys Ltd., from May 1, 2006 to October 31, 2012.

Bala served as Secretary and Senior Vice President – Finance of Infosys Ltd., from joining it in 2001 to April 2006. He was a full-time Director on the Board of Infosys Limited from June 2011 to December 2013.

Bala has significant experience in leadership positions in the finance domain, with expertise in Corporate Finance, International Taxation, Risk Management and Mergers & Acquisitions.

He has been a recipient of the “Best CFO” award from CNBC and Finance Asia.

Chinnu Senthilkumar, Managing Partner

Chinnu brings decades of hands-on experience from a wide spectrum of technology ecosystems. Prior to Exfinity, Chinnu held Technical Executive roles in global Semiconductor companies, including SanDisk (now part of Western Digital), Intel, and Texas Instruments, both in the US and India. As the Country Head of SanDisk, Chinnu strategized and established their India operations in R&D, Sales & Marketing and IT partnerships.

Chinnu is well recognized for his technical expertise by the Govt of India and serves as an Investment Committee Member in the DLI Scheme (a subset of the $10 billion PLI flagship initiative). Chinnu has been an innovator from a young age, received the National Technology Award from the President of India in his college days, and holds 9 US patents in the areas of Semiconductors & Hardware systems.

Chinnu received an MSEE from the University of Utah and a B.E. from Guindy Engineering College, Anna University.

Deepak Aggarwal, CFO

Deepak is a Rank holder Chartered Accountant & CMA with over 20 years of experience in the field of finance & compliance.

He was the CFO, CGI India & also a Member of EXCO at RBS TS, India

Deepak has been awarded as one of the TOP#50 best finance leaders in 2021 by White Page International.

He has served as the Business Finance Head at HCL Tech.

Nitin Lalwani, AVP - Investor Relations

Nitin Joined Exfinity in 2023 as AVP - Investor Relations.

He has worked with the M&A team in Deloitte and Lead the Finance for a VC backed startup called LetsVenture. He also tried his hands on Enterprenuership and built a profitable consulting business to help the startup founders with Finance, Taxation and Valuation needs.

He is a Chartered Accountant, 2017 batch. Apart from work he is passionate about music, meditation and running.

Mrs. Prachi Singh, VP of Operations

Shailesh Ghorpade, Founding Managing Partner

Shailesh has over 23 years of experience in Project & Corporate Finance, M&A, Strategy, and Private Equity Real Estate (PERE) investments across companies in Financial Services, Energy, IT and Real Estate sectors. He has held senior positions in companies like Birla Global Finance, Tata Finance, Infosys Technologies and Price Waterhouse Coopers.

Prior to founding Exfinity, Shailesh was the CEO & Co-founder of Azure Capital a boutique real estate private equity fund.

He was Chief Strategy and Planning Officer at Suzlon Energy, then ranked #3 globally in Wind Energy.

Shailesh has consulted for several Fortune 500 companies in Europe and the USA and has led large transformation programs in his previous assignments.

Sunith Mandala, Senior Associate

Sunith is an Electrical Engineering graduate from IIT Bombay and an MBA from IIM Ahmedabad. Prior to joining Exfinity,he worked as a Graphics Hardware engineer at Intel India and as an Investment banking associate at Avendus Capital. He has cleared CFA Level I and interned at numerous places including Arga Investment Management and Beacon India Private Equity. He likes to invest in cutting edge companies in Deeptech, Sustainability, Saas, and Fintech.

Varsheel Deliwala, Senior Associate

Varsheel is a Senior Associate in the investment team focusing on early-stage SaaS, enterprise tech and B2B platforms.

Prior to joining Exfinity, he was an analyst in Kotak Investment Bank’s technology team, where he worked with growth-stage startups like Delhivery, Pharmeasy and Ideaforge. Varsheel has a Bachelor’s in Computer Science with a minor in Economics from Ashoka University.

In his free time, he enjoys traveling, surfing, watching Formula 1 and playing golf.
