Alta Equity Partners is a private equity firm focused on making investments in the lower middle market which we define as companies with enterprise values in the range of $5 million to $50 million. We have a broad industry focus and significant experience investing in businesses with recurring revenue streams. Our team has over 100 years of collective experience having worked together for the past 20 years as the senior investment team and founding partners of Alta Communications. During our time together we have invested in more than 70 companies representing in aggregate more than $750 million of invested capital. We make both control and minority equity investments and generally commit $2 million to $20 million of capital into each transaction. While the private equity industry targets increasingly larger transactions, we are very comfortable investing at the lower end of our range as we believe that the most interesting opportunities are often smaller companies that are found off the beaten path, denied access to capital through conventional means, or operate outside of the traditional scope of private equity investments. We target buyout and growth investments in profitable businesses as well as work with management teams and business owners to find creative ways to unlock value in complex situations or with neglected assets. While we recognize that private equity has become a commodity, we differentiate ourselves by being the partner of choice to any business owner or management team contemplating a transaction that requires speed, creativity or the ability to navigate through challenging issues. We make decisions quickly, we stick to our word and we build trusting, long-term relationships with talented people which we have found are the key to achieving success in any investment.
