From our Head Office in London and with staff located nationwide we produce The Owners Service, a share register analysis system, which contains the most comprehensive and timely UK & Irish share ownership information of its type available. Covering the Public Limited Companies on the main London Stock Exchange (LSE), AIM, Irish Main and IEX markets (over 2,300 stocks); we have been the main supplier of shareholder information to the London Stock Exchange for the past four years. The Owners Service reports give very clear visibility of who are the real owners (beneficial owners) and who effectively has control (fund managers), of UK public limited companies. Registration details are also displayed so that you can easily check the provenance of a holding. Analyses are undertaken to a threshold of 0.1% and 0.05% of a company’s issued share capital and updated on either a monthly or quarterly cycle. With recourse to our unique nominee database built up over 14 years and our thorough analysis procedure which also benefits from Section 793 enquiries (under the UK Companies Act 2006), regulatory announcements and our close relationships with many of the Public Limited Companies themselves, our products are held in the highest esteem by our clients. Note: The reporting requirements in the UK differ from those in the other countries. In the UK the names of holders of shares are reported in their share registers, as opposed to the USA for example, where portfolio managers report their stock holdings on their 13F and N30D fillings. In the UK many holders invest under nominee names making the task of discovering the identities of the underlying owners more complex.
