Bank of Communications Co., Ltd. (the Bank) is principally engaged in banking and related financial services. The Bank's business is divided into four segments: personal banking, including personal savings in local and foreign currencies, bank card, personal lending and wealth management; corporate banking, comprised of deposit, financing, settlement, financial institutional banking and asset custody services; international banking, consisting of foreign exchange wealth management, document settlement, remittance and bill services, trade finance and offshore banking, and e-banking. As of December 31, 2008, there were 105 domestic branches, including 29 provincial branches, seven branches directly managed by head office, 69 provincial sub-branches and 2,636 outlets in 166 major cities in mainland China. The Bank also has seven branches in Hong Kong, New York, Tokyo, Singapore, Soul, Frankfort and Macao, and one representative office in London.
