Bayport Financial Services Mexico was established in November 2014 and is Bayport’s second operation in Latin America. Bayport Management Ltd acquired a majority participation share in Financiera Fortaleza, a payroll lender established in 2008 in Mexico. Bayport Mexico has a branch presence in 65% of the country, and operates under a similar model to the rest of the Bayport business; offering loans to civil servants and using payroll as an efficient collection mechanism. The company is a SOFOM (non-regulated financial entity) and is fully certified by the Mexican Regulatory Agency CONDUCEF. Bayport Mexico is the only payroll lender in the Mexican market to receive ISO 9000 certification, a testament to Bayport’s commitment to customer satisfaction and efficiency.
