Bayport Financial Services Zambia was BML’s first operation, incorporated in 2002. It is regulated by the Bank of Zambia and local management are significant shareholders. True to its pioneering roots, Bayport Zambia introduced two innovative products to its customers over the years. Kwachamover is a local money transfer service, while Credit Life is an insurance product that protects the customer should they be retrenched, become disabled, pass away or contract a dread disease in which circumstances the outstanding loan amounts are settled with Bayport on the customer’s behalf. Insurance products have since expanded to all Bayport operations. Bayport Zambia enjoys a dominant presence in all nine provinces of the country.
