The Bede Financial Group was founded in 2001 by John McVeigh who was joined in 2004 by Pension and Retirement Planning Specialist, Tony Mchugh. Between them, John and Tony have over 45 years experience working for well known and national institutions. Through their expertise and qualitifcations, John and Tony have acquired an excellent reputation, both locally and nationally due to referrals from satisfied customers. A well established business in the area, the Bede Financial Group made the decision in 2009 to expand to provide increasing services to the local community. In November 2009, we moved to a new shop front/high street premises at 2 Redcar Road in Marske. Local experienced Mortgage Adviser Joanne Pearson joined the Group in December 2009, and specifically deals with all new mortgages, and re-mortgage enquiries. In February 2010 we opened our doors and introduced the Yorkshire Building Society Agency to Marske By The Sea. While other major financial institutions were "closing their doors" on local communities The Yorkshire Building Society Agency (which offers a full range of services- Savings, Bonds and Mortgages) is providing a much welcomed and essential service supporting the East Cleveland community. Skelton in Cleveland based Nicki Armstrong joined the Team in July 2011, and brought with her a wealth of experience. Nicki had previously worked for six years at the Yorkshire Building Society Selby branch prior to her relocating with her family to the North Eas June 2013 saw the arrival of Donna Coote. Donna has worked within the financial services sector for ten years and specialises in general insurance, heading up the Group's non-life insurance arm, Bede Insure September 2013 saw the arrival of Kate Dobbing, the latest member to join the "Bede Team", Kate will be primarily focussing on the Bede Insure side of the business, and lending a helping hand when required with the Yorkshire Building Society Agency work. The Bede Financial Group / Yorkshire Building Society Agency team are actively involved in the local community. In December 2013 the business were proud winners of the best decorated Christmas window competition. In December 2013 The Bede Team with the help of the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable foundation and local businesses, were instrumental in raising over £5,000 for the Teenage Cancer Trust. During 2014 the Bede Team are planning to be actively involved in various charitable fundraising, and local community events.
