BGTL belongs to the BA Investment Co Ltd which unites businesses in construction, transportation, financial services, tourism, media and health care. The financial services cluster of BA Investment comprises of Bramer Asset Management Ltd, Prime Capital and Bramer Securities Ltd. As such, Bramer Securities is a brokerage firm trading on the stock Exchange of Mauritius and involved in local equities. To further expand this line of business and to offer new investment opportunities to clients, BGTL will be a new brokerage firm providing trading on both commodity and currency derivatives. BGTL is regulated by the Financial Services Commission (FSC) which supervises the non-bank financial institutions in Mauritius. BGTL has been granted an Investment Dealership license by the FSC in August 2010. BGTL is a member of the Global Board Of Trade (GBOT), which is promoted by Financial Technologies Ltd and will offer trading on state-of-the-art electronic platform to its members. BGTL has been launched in September 2010 in partnership with GBOT to establish the first cross border exchange in Mauritius, offering modern market mechanisms for the local and African financial markets and act as a platform for the investing community.
