The Spanish Stock and Exchange Commission (CNMV or Comision Nacional del Mercado de Valores) is the body in charge of the supervision and inspection of the Spanish securities markets and of the activity of all those who intervene in such markets. Amongst its activities It safeguards the transparency of the Spanish securities markets, the correct formation of prices and a high level of investor protection. As a supervisory body, it is mainly focused on companies that issue securities in order for them to be placed publicly in the primary market, secondary securities markets, Investment Services Firms and Collective Investment Schemes.
