Our Team

Steve Alexander

Steve has been in the finance industry since the late 70’s. Having substantial experience from within the finance industry Steve decided that the industry really did not offer the service that he believed client’s need and deserve. He left the confines of the industry in the very early 80’s and worked for (at that time) Melbourne’s leading finance broker.

Armed with that experience Steve commenced his own operation in 1984. This was the start of Melbourne’s premier broking house Corporate Finance that you see today. The emphasis was to provide a quality service efficiently, that exceeded client’s expectations at a fair price. Over the years the other people that you see in this website have joined the business. The primary qualification was to have substantial experience, be a quality individual with the same vision and integrity as it’s founder himself.

Ian Hansen

Ian commenced his finance career with the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney (CBC Bank) in 1971. From 1974 Ian worked through a number of roles with Associated Securities Ltd (ASL), first in accounting, and later in their credit and acceptance division. This gave Ian a thorough knowledge of the finance industry when he became a broker for Corporate Finance in 1979.

In 1982 Ian joined Peter W. Davis & Associates as a consultant. Ian then formed a partnership and traded as Independent Leasing & Finance with Bob Montgomery for a number of years. In late 1992, Ian became a founding director of Corporate Finance.

Henry Arundel

Henry commenced his finance career with the Bank of New South Wales in 1968, working for ten years in all facets of the bank. On several occasions Henry has worked internationally in Europe and Asia in import/export. With the introduction of Bankcard, Henry lead the bank’s marketing via their Charge Card Services.

Henry later embarked on a long association with the motor industry, working for both Holden and Ford as the Southern Region Sales Manager for over 10 years. Henry then worked for Jefferson Ford for 4 years, and later Melbourne City Toyota/Lexus as Business Manager for 9 years. Henry brings to Corporate Finance over 30 years experience in the Banking and Car Industry.

Con Theodore

Con has more than 19 years experience in the Motor Vehicle Industry, selling new and used cars and providing personalised vehicle location services. Con’s commitment, thoroughness and integrity have enabled him to succeed in car sales with an extensive list of loyal clients returning regularly.

When Con was looking for ways to expand into finance, it seemed a natural next step to join Corporate Finance as they were already a preferred supplier and Con had been impressed by the professionalism and care shown by the Corporate Finance team.

IN 2013 Con completed his Diploma in Finance and Mortgage Broking at Holmesglen College and was asked to join Corporate Finance as a Consultant. He has brought with him his loyal clientele and looking to assist them in the future with all their finance needs whether it be Trucks, Motor Vehicles, Business Equipment or Plant and Equipment.

Nik Raymond

Nik began his finance career with Esanda Finance as a Credit Analyst, and later as a Portfolio Manager for ANZ. Being appointed Victorian Business Development Manager for GIO, Nik worked in the role for five years before accepting a position with Corporate Finance. He has received a thorough grounding in all facets of finance, specialising in Motor Vehicle and Plant & Equipment finance for all types of business.

Brian Wilkinson

Brian commenced work in the finance industry with the Commercial Banking Company of Sydney in 1971. Following ten years of service with the CBC Bank, Brian joined the Balmoral Motors group of Companies in the role of Finance Manager.

Brian spent seven years with the Balmoral group. It was during this period that Brian developed a desire to form his own Finance Broking operation. In October 1988 this became a reality and Sonwood Financial Services was formed.

Following sixteen years of successful trading, Brian has now merged his operations with Corporate Finance.

Brian is a valued addition to the Corporate Finance operation and he brings with him 40 years of experience gained in the Banking, Motor and Finance industries.
