Dezan Shira & Associates is represented in Malaysia by Christopher Heng & Peng Sam, part of the Dezan Shira Asian Alliance. Senior partners are Christopher Heng Kee Chai and Tan Peng Sam, both of whom are qualified Chartered Accountants. The partners have combined experience of more than 70 years. The Malaysia practice was formed in 1994 and provides national coverage across Malaysia on behalf of foreign investors from its offices in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor. The firm is a full-service practice, offering corporate establishment, tax planning, tax treaty advisory, bookkeeping, accounting, tax filing and full audit services. The firm can also advice on legal matters in Malaysia, especially related to investment laws and applicable regulations. It is an Approved Company Auditor, Approved Liquidator, Approved Tax Agent, Approve GST Tax Agent, and a Registered Financial Planner. In June of 2015, the firm completed a merger. The main objective of the merger is to better serve the needs of our clients with the combined resources under the enlarged entity of more than 60 professionals.
