Diversified Wealth Management Solutions, LLC was formed by Mark P. Alcorn, Jr., CFP® in 2014 to offer truly unbiased comprehensive wealth management solutions to their clients. Mark was born and raised in Fresno, California, attended Clovis West High School and continued his education at the University of California, Santa Barbara obtaining a degree in Mathematics and Economics. Mark began his career in finance in 2002 with Wells Fargo Bank, while in Santa Barbara. In 2004 he moved back to Fresno to start his Investment Advisory career with Morgan Stanley, obtaining his Series 7, Series 66, Series 31 and CA Life & Health licenses. It was here that he received much of his initial training surrounding asset allocation, diversification and Modern Portfolio Theory. He obtained his Certified Financial Planner™ designation in 2007. In 2008, he accepted an opportunity with Citigroup in which he was responsible for providing investment advice coverage to a number of bank branches in the Central Valley. In 2011 he took his experience to Waddell and Reed accepting the role of the Producing Managing Principal for the Fresno Office. Mark strongly believes in continually expanding his knowledge and value. He is currently pursuing the Charter Financial Analyst® designation and is a 2016 CFA® Level II Candidate. As an active board member for the Central Valley Chapter of the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Mark truly enjoys giving back to the community where he was raised. He was honored and selected as a member of the Central Valley 40-Under-40, class of 2013. He lives in Fresno, California with his wife, Kim, of 10 years and their two girls. In his free time, he enjoys playing all types of sports, coaching his kids, attending church and spending time with friends and family.
