Eagle Point Credit Company. LLC (NYSE: ECC) is an externally managed closed-end management investment company that has registered as an investment company under the Investment Company Act of 1940. In addition, for tax purposes we have elected to be treated as a regulated investment company under Subchapter M of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986, as amended.
Eagle Point Credit Company Inc. (the "Company") is a publicly traded externally managed closed-end management investment company that registered under the Investment Company Act of 1940. The Company's common shares are publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange under the symbol "ECC". Our primary investment objective is to generate high current income, with a secondary objective to generate capital appreciation. We seek to achieve our investment objectives by investing primarily in equity and junior debt tranches of collateralized loan obligations (CLOs). The CLOs in which we invest are collateralized by a diverse portfolio consisting primarily of below investment grade U.S. senior secured loans. Our investment adviser, Eagle Point Credit Management LLC (“Eagle Point”) was founded in 2012 by Thomas Majewski and Stone Point Capital LLC. Based in Greenwich, Connecticut, Eagle Point is an investment adviser registered with the Securities and Exchange Commission. Eagle Point is a specialist asset manager focused on collateralized loan obligations (CLOs), offering investors a professionally managed and diversified exposure to the asset class. Eagle Point’s senior investment team is comprised of Thomas Majewski (Managing Partner), Daniel Ko (Portfolio Manager) and Daniel Spinner, CAIA, (Portfolio Manager). Each member of the senior investment team is a CLO industry specialist who has been directly involved in the CLO market for the majority of his career and has built relationships with key market participants, including CLO collateral managers, investment banks and investors. Collectively, members of the senior investment team have been involved in the CLO market as the head of the CLO business at various investment banks; a lead CLO structurer and collateralized debt obligation workout specialist at an investment bank; a CLO equity and debt investor; a principal investor in CLO collateral management firms and a lender and mergers and acquisitions adviser to CLO collateral management firms.
