Equita SIM S.p.A.

Originally founded in 1973 as Euromobiliare S.p.A, Equita is a pioneer within the Italian Investment Banking industry having been involved in the most significant financial deals executed in Italy in the last 20 years. The professionalism and independence of its management have always represented the cornerstone of Equita’s model. After a period operating as part of Italian and foreign banking groups (Midland Bank and, then since 1994, Credito Emiliano), at the end of 2007 Euromobiliare's top management – a key shareholder since 2002 – completed a management buy-out with the support of the private equity funds J.C. Flowers and Mid Industry Capital. In 2008, Euromobiliare SIM changed its name to Equita SIM. The new name – Equita – evokes the founding principles of its history (equity brokerage, corporate finance, strong roots in the domestic market, ethical standards and transparency as key values).
