Blanchard stated, “I care about this community and its citizens and want to see the River Valley continue to grow and prosper. My family and I invested in First State Bank in 1999 in order to bring true community banking back to the River Valley . Cynthia and I are both dedicated to our community and we see this our bank as a way to help this area grow and prosper. Banking in Russellville has been good to our family, and we are dedicated to seeing that Russellville has the true community bank it needs and deserves. Our bankers are an extended family. I am proud to say that our whole family is committed to both our bankers and to providing this area the finest in banking from a locally owned organization for generations to come. We can make that promise, where other bankers can’t. It just isn’t in their control. We are guided by a Board of Directors that is composed of highly successful businessmen most of whom have owned and operated their own businesses. That helps us relate and understand the needs of our locally owned firms so we can help them succeed.” Johnny Morgan , President, stated “The bank and its employees remain dedicated to volunteering their time to community and civic organizations. Last year the bank donated over $150,000 and participated and supported many different events; such as, the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life, The Heart Walk, ValleyFest, Main Street Russellville, and many others. Max Mathis , Executive Vice President and Lending manager stated the key word that makes us different than other banks is “flexibility”. We can customize and tailor your loan to meet your needs whether you need a short term variable rate loan or a long term fixed rate loan. We can adjust to the customers needs instead of them making them conform to the banks. We offer fixed rate commercial real estate loans with terms up to 15 years, real estate equity credit lines that operate as a revolving credit line to help businesses with working capital and cash flow needs. The bank also utilizes the Small Business Administration and Farm Service Agency to offer terms for businesses and farmers that would not otherwise be available. Barton Allen , Senior Vice President and Senior Agriculture Lender, has been helping farmers with their financial requests for many years. Allen worked for Tyson Foods Inc. prior to his banking career and feels it helps him to understand and relate to the needs of the farmers better. Allen stated the bank takes pride in being a leader in agriculture lending. We work with our customers to tailor the loan to meet their income stream which is good for the customer and the bank. Ragena Moore , Senior Vice President of Operations stated, the bank offers Commercial Internet Banking Services which gives businesses the ability to originate credit and debit entries. The Direct Deposit function provides cost benefits for the company and convenience for their employees. Security features in the product make it flexible enough for 1 person offices to multi-office operations requiring more complex controls. Internet Banking also allows the customer the ability to view their account balance and check images immediately, make loan payments, stop payments and transfers between accounts. The Bill Pay function allows the customer to pay bills and set up repetitive transactions at their convenience. The bank has two other financial service providers located in the bank’s main office at 3103 East Main ; Community First Trust Company, a full service trust provider and IPI- Investment Professional Inc., a full service brokerage firm.
