Glenayr Family Advisors believes that purposeful and thoughtful planning about life and family is fundamental and is the starting point to creating a sound financial plan.

We specialize in family advisory services, financial life planning, financial transitions planning, financial and cash flow planning, asset allocation, and money management oversight and coordination. We have a specialized process to help clients clearly define their life and family aspirations, and we provide financial planning to support those aspirations. We also walk with clients as they execute their life goals and plans.
We know that life is full of twists and turns, and we are specifically trained to help you make all of those overwhelming decisions when transition events change life and money.

We at Glenayr Family Advisors are skilled and trained to understand individual and family dynamics during changing times. We can calm the overwhelmed, minimize regrettable decisions, and make life and family more comfortable and enjoyable. We believe in collaborating with all relevant family advisors to support clients in all areas of their lives.

Our Team
Peggy F. Frye CFP®, MS, Registered Life Planner®, Certified Financial Transitionist®
Peggy Frye formed Glenayr Wealth Advisors LLC. in 2011 after a corporate career in Private Banking. The Firm name changed in 2018 to Glenayr Family Advisors LLC to reflect the Firm’s mission and purpose in working with families in transition.
The Firm’s mission has been to bring a new logic to family wealth planning by helping individuals and families use heart and hard data to support their individual lives and their places in the larger family system. The goal to assist clients in gaining vision about life and family purpose, and help them determine how to use human, family, and financial resources to make confident choices without regret.
Peggy advises individuals and families using a unique family advisory and planning approach. She is also specifically skilled and trained serve clients experiencing life transitions such as divorce, loss of a spouse, sale of a business, retirement, inheritance, and other important life transitions.
Peggy’s skills were honed during a 28-year career as a Private Banker and Wealth Advisor for Citigroup’s Private Bank in New York City, Chappaqua, NY, and Washington, DC. She has been a Certified Financial Planner® since 1996 and is distinguished an advisor who has achieved the Registered Life Planner® designation in 2009 from the Kinder Institute in Littleton, MA. She received her Certified Financial Transitionist® designation from the Sudden Money Institute in 2012, and is among an elite group of professionals with experience in combining planning with cutting-edge research in neurology, sociology, and psychology. She is also a member of the Sudden Money Faculty coaching other advisors in this unique process. Peggy continues to work with Navigating Systems in Washington, DC, to further her expertise in working with complex family situations.
During her career in financial services and in private practice, she has served corporate clients, privately held business owners, real estate entrepreneurs, private equity firms and large high-net worth families. She also served as Treasurer of the Friends of the Neuberger Museum of Art Board for several years prior to her move to Virginia.
Peggy holds a Master of Science from Fordham University and Bachelor of Science from Southeastern Louisiana University. Peggy resides with her husband on Glenayr Farm in central Virginia where they raise Champion Airedale Terriers, Russell Terriers, and Angus cattle.
Michael B. Karwic CFP®, AEP®, CeFT®, Certified Financial Planner®, Certified Financial Transitionist®, Director of Financial Planning & Professional Collaboration
Michael Karwic is a Certified Financial Planner®, an Accredited Estate Planner®, and a Certified Financial Transitionist® with over 25 years of experience in the financial planning industry. He provides financial planning and wealth management strategies for clients throughout the U.S. In addition to traditional financial planning and wealth management, Michael has areas of emphasis in helping people who are experiencing significant financial transition events and in working with families who want to have a thoughtful plan for the transition of their wealth and their values to future generations. As a faculty member of the Financial Transitionist Institute™, Michael teaches advanced planning techniques to financial advisers who seek the skills to work with clients experiencing major life events.
Michael serves on the board of the Chester County Estate Planning Council and volunteers his time with the Chester County Community Foundation. He is also an active member of NAEPC (National Association of Estate Planners & Councils), XPX (The Exit Planning Exchange), The Exton Region Chamber of Commerce, and the FPA (Financial Planning Association.)
As a native New Englander Michael loves his “Northeast Playground”, from Philadelphia to Maine, where you will often find him outdoors golfing, gardening, skiing and mountain biking. You're also likely to find Michael woodworking, chocolate making, creating something on a 3-D printer or spending time at a local “maker space” learning how to make something new and unique. He especially enjoys these activities when it can include his awesome wife, Amanda, and any of his three grown children – or his yellow Labrador, “Zelda”.
