Golden Point Capital Management is an investment firm established to manage both individual and pooled commodity investments. We utilize a proprietary strategy that removes the emotional aspect of trading, and employs a fully systematic and unemotional trading approach. The current trading strategy was developed using time-tested probabilistic and statistical methods and is the culmination of many years of quantitative research and testing across the futures markets. Golden Point Capital Management was formed on February 8, 2012, to manage individual and pooled accounts across various futures markets. We are registered as a CTA and a CPO with the Commodity Futures trading Commission (CFTC) and are a member of the National Futures Association (NFA). The “Golden Point” name is derived from a key point in the centuries old game of backgammon. Golden Point Capital Management’s Principal is an avid backgammon player and believes the strategy of the game is synonymous with the firm’s trading strategy. Backgammon is a game in which strategy and technique of play continually become significantly more sophisticated. It is a game mastered only by fully understanding statistics and probabilities, while weighing the risks and the rewards. The “golden point” is the most important point to capture. To do so requires taking small risks for potentially large rewards. The Golden Point trading strategy has been developed through thousands of hours of diligent research and discussion on probability, mathematics, strategy, statistics, and incorporates many of the elements required to be an accomplished backgammon player.
