The practice was established originally as David R. Hawkes, CPA in August 1987 at 75 State Street in Ellsworth. The first employee was Marion Hessert and many of the clients came from Brooks & Carter, CPAs. The practice moved to 204 Main Street in 1991 and again in 2003 to 270 High Street and to our present location on the third floor of the former Union Trust Main Office at 66 Main Street in July

There has been a continued growth from client development and the purchase of the practice of John Martin, CPA in Blue Hill. In June 2008, the practice changed to Hawkes & Quirk, LLC with the addition of Tricia Quirk. Throughout these many years, our Clients are at the center of our business philosophy.
