In December of 1980, John Hession and Tom Pare, who had began their careers in the Boston offices of national accounting firms, found themselves drawn to Manchester, New Hampshire. It was here, in a brick mill building, located in the heart of downtown, that the two founded Hession & Pare P.C. At the time, they only had one employee, who by the way, remained with the firm until retirement in 2013.

During its 30 plus years, the partners and staff at Hession & Pare have worked closely with a number of long-standing clients in a broad array of industries. Businesses and individuals in a variety of professions and stages of life have depended on the guidance and expertise of the firm. Throughout its existence, the firm has employed dedicated certified public accountants to participate in delivering quality auditing, assurance, tax and business consulting services on a timely basis. Today, Hession & Pare is still located in their original offices at 62 Stark Street in Downtown Manchester, and they are still setting themselves apart—not simply by the services they provide but by the personal attention they provide to each of their clients.
