Since 1990 HSBC has been present in Poland as an investment services company: HSBC Investment Services (Poland) Sp. z o.o. It has acted as an adviser and/or lead manager in over 40 transactions with a total value of 21,5 bn PLN. The successes of the Polish team were crowned with multiple awards granted for investment banking activities. In 2003 HSBC bought Polski Kredyt Bank S.A. in Poland, starting its activities on the consumer finance market under the brand of Beneficial Kredyt. Between March 2008 and June 2009 Bank was offering consumer assets products under HSBC Credit Brand. In 2004 the bank officially changed its name to HSBC Bank Polska S.A.
