HW&Co.

In 1990, after spinning off from one of the nation’s largest accounting firms, Mel Howard, Harvey Wershbale, and a handful of coworkers met to discuss their future and next move. Within hours, the group had developed a business plan, divided job responsibilities and most importantly, pledged to always remain committed to their clients and to their staff. By early the next day, Howard, Wershbale & Co. was formed with its additional founding partners – John Fleischer, Stan Majkrzak, Stan Olejarski, Darice Sebera-Ensman, and Stephen Stanisa. Additional employees were contacted and a letter was sent to their clients announcing the new firm. Over twenty years later, the original group has grown from a small local CPA firm of 22 to one of the country’s top 200 firms with over 130 employees and three locations, and continues to provide award-winning service and solutions to its clients. In January 2014, after several mergers and other internal developments, the firm name evolved to HW&Co.
