Sunset Life Insurance Company of America was originally founded in 1937. Kansas City Life Insurance Company purchased Sunset Life in 1974 and its operations were consolidated into the Company’s Home Office in 1999. The Sunset Life sales force was integrated into the Kansas City Life sales force in 2006.
