Maxwell Shmerler & Company is a full service peer reviewed Certified Public Accounting firm with over 100 years of experience, providing its clients with a broad range of business and individual services. Our firm began its practice in 1913, co-incident with the first federal income tax law. A significant part of our pride of accomplishment is the constant monitoring of the changing tax laws in order to minimize our clients’ potential and actual tax liabilities through planning and advising. As a firm, our standing in the profession is both time honored and currently recognized. We were one of the early firms to be examined and commended by the AICPA Quality Review Committee. We are a medium-sized diversified CPA firm performing services in the tax, accounting, auditing, management, financial and estate planning fields. We also have a full time computer consultant on staff to handle all of our clients’ technology-related needs. We have preferred to remain comparatively small in size in order to ensure our clients with personal attention at the partner level, something that larger firms often cannot provide. Our partnership family name now spans three generations, something most assuredly unique in the profession. More unique, and more a source of pride, are the number of clients who have continued with us throughout much of our 101-year history.
