We have been in business for over forty years and our story is one of growth and change. Our beginnings can be traced back to early 1970s with the establishment of a practice then known as Santa Maria, Briglia – located in Carlton, inner city Melbourne. In 1972 Allan McLean joined the practice resulting in a name change to Briglia McLean. In the 1980s the practice moved to the eastern suburbs of Melbourne and the partnership numbers increased to five. John Delmo joined the practice in 1980, resulting in a further name change to the practice – to McLean Delmo. The practice saw substantial growth in the 90’s and McLean Delmo ventured into the establishment of its first specialist revenue stream/service with the creation of its Financial Planning division in 1996. 2000 and beyond This decade provided the most ‘significant’ strategic growth in its 44 year history. In 2002, McLean Delmo joined the Kreston network. From 2003-2007 the firm continued to grow through acquisitions and mergers (Sothertons, Abbinga and Hall Chadwick to name a few). McLean Delmo’s history was now shared with the legacies of these firms and our service capabilities were boosted by the skills and experience of the colleagues joining the firm. In 2007, we established our 2nd specialist revenue stream/service with the creation of Superannuation Outsourcing division, which now services over 400 self managed superannuation funds. In 2008, we established additional specialist revenue streams/services, with the creation of our Lending and Finance and International divisions. In June 2013, McLean Delmo joined the Bentleys network and became McLean Delmo Bentleys. As the second largest practice in the group, we have 12 Partners and approximately 70 staff. We are looking forward to further growth as we develop our clients and networks locally, nationally through the Bentleys network and internationally through Kreston.
