The origins of the firm can be traced back to 1985. It was first incorporated by Graham J Miles April 1984 and traded under the name of MERONHEATH Financial Services Ltd. The firm specialised in the provision of advice to high net worth clients, particularly in the provision of Self Administered Pension Schemes. In January 1996 it merged with the life and pensions department of Wellington Insurance Bureau and changed its name to WELLINGTON PENSIONS & INVESTMENTS Ltd. A broader range of advice was provided to meet the needs a wider client base. In June 1999 there was a change of shareholders and Graham J Miles became Managing Director. The company name was changed to MHI Ltd. To accommodate the needs of a more specialised client base which included businesses and Trustees as well as high net worth individuals, the company offered a fee charging proposition. This was well received and clients could be confident they were receiving impartial advice and were not being sold a product. MHI Ltd. Continues to provide advice at the more technical end of the market place and its clients continue to be high net worth individuals, businesses and Trustees.
