MyMicroInvest was founded by experienced professionals with idealistic principles. In July 2011, the four original founders came together, each with a unique background. José was the entrepreneur, Olivier was the investment banker, Charles-Albert was experienced in corporate finance and Guillaume Desclée previously worked in microfinance in Brazil. Today, the motivation of the founders rests on providing funding to entrepreneurs, fueling the job market in Europe, and involving the crowd in business investments through crowdfunding. Each co-founder brings between 15-20 years of experience in a range of fields. José Zurstrassen is now Chairman and was previously the co-founder of Skynet and Key Trade Bank. Olivier de Duve, Chief Executive Officer, was previously working in international capital markets at Deutsche Bank and Bear Stearns. Charles-Albert de Radzitzky, Chief Operating Officer, previously worked in corporate finance at Fortis Bank. In 2012, Gilles van der Meerschen joined as Partner and Head of Sales, from a previous career in management at Caterpillar.
