New England Capital Partners (“NECP”) is a private investment firm focused on acquiring lower middle market operating companies. The firm is a successor to New England Capital Management, which has been successfully acquiring and growing small businesses since 1991. NECP is interested in acquiring companies with annual sales in the $5 to $50 million range, at transaction prices upward to $40 million. Manufacturing, Business Services, Distribution and Consumer related industries located in the Northeast are preferred, but other locations and industries will be considered. We enjoy assisting experienced and entrepreneurial owners in realizing their transitional goals. Depending on the desires of an owner, we will either provide partial liquidity and supplement current management or purchase companies outright and, if necessary, bring new management to the company. The principals of NECP are Kevin McCafferty, and Bob Winneg. Mr. McCafferty has been in the private equity business since 1978 and is the co-founder of New England Capital Management. Previously he was a Partner in Madison Dearborn Partners. Mr. Winneg has been in the private equity business since 1990. Previously he was a partner at Heritage Partners and has extensive experience with both early stage and mature private and family held businesses.
