Newkirk & Associates, Inc. traces its roots to services offered by Jeff and Marcia Newkirk in the early 1980’s in their home. After several years of preparing tax returns and providing accounting services as a side job the business had grown enough to become Marcia’s full time job. Marcia met with clients in her home in Plano for many years, first in a bedroom, then in the finished basement, and then in a converted 2 car garage as the business grew. In 2005 she incorporated the business creating Newkirk & Associates, Inc. and moved the office out of her home to the current location in downtown Plano. In 2014 Bill Newkirk joined Newkirk & Associates, Inc. Bill previously worked at 2 top 50 CPA firms prior to working at Newkirk & Associates, Inc. He is seeking to increase business through adding personal and small business clients. In addition to this he brought auditing experience to Newkirk and Associates and began performing audits of government and nonprofit organizations. Newkirk & Associates, Inc. participates in the Illinois CPA Society Peer Review Program. A firm participating in the Peer Review Program must have an independent review of its accounting and auditing practice every three years. In 2015 Newkirk & Associates, Inc. underwent a peer review and received a rating of pass (highest possible) which indicates the firm meets the accounting profession’s high standards of quality and professionalism. Newkirk & Associates, Inc. continues to grow and is always accepting new clients.
