General Management Committee

Philippe Oddo, General partner

Philippe Oddo is General Partner of ODDO BHF SCA and Chairman of the Management Board of ODDO BHF SE.

Born on 26 September 1959 in Paris, Philippe Oddo is a graduate of the Paris business school HEC. He also studied at the Paris IX-Dauphine University, New York University and the University of Cologne.

Philippe Oddo joined the family business, the fifth generation of his family to do so, in 1984 and became a partner in 1987.

In addition to his executive role at ODDO BHF, he has been a member of the board of directors of several organizations on the Paris financial center: “Conseil des marchés à terme”, Euronext, ANSA (Association Nationale des Sociétés par Actions) and METI (Mouvement pour les Entreprises de taille Intermediaire). He is treasurer of the Bettencourt-Schueller Foundation and is involved in medical research foundations.

In 2020 the German Chamber of Commerce awarded Philippe Oddo for the first time the prize for Franco-German personality of the year.

Nicolas Chaput, Global CEO of ODDO BHF Asset Management

Nicolas Chaput is Global CEO of ODDO BHF Asset Management.

He is also a member of the General Management Committee of the ODDO BHF Group.

Prior to joining the Group in 2012, Nicolas was the European Fixed Income Chief Investment Officer for BNP Paribas Asset Management for seven years.

Prior to that, he had a career in investment banking and capital markets in France, the UK and the US for Crédit Lyonnais.

Nicolas Chaput is a graduate of Sciences Po Strasbourg and holds a Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Paris 2-Assas.

Grégoire Charbit, Global CEO for Commodities, International & Corporate Banking and Services

Grégoire Charbit is member of the Board of Directors of ODDO BHF SE and partner of ODDO BHF SCA in Paris. He is also Global CEO for Commodities, International & Corporate Banking and Services.

Grégoire Charbit began his career in 1990 as a lawyer at the law firm Gide-Loyrette-Nouel. In 1994, he joined ODDO BHF as Chief Legal Officer and was responsible for external growth, partnerships and legal as Secretary General. In 2002, he was appointed Head of Human Resources. Grégoire Charbit was appointed to the Board of Directors of ODDO BHF in 2007.

Benoît Claveranne, Chief Transformation & Development Officer

Since July 1st, 2021, Benoît Claveranne has been Chief Transformation & Development Officer at ODDO BHF, responsible for operations, IT, marketing and innovation, and in charge of the Group’s development in Asia. He is a member of the Group management committee.

Born in 1975, Benoît Claveranne worked in various financial institutions such as the French Treasury, the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund (IMF). From 2009 to 2021, he worked at AXA, where he held several responsibilities. He notably was Chief Executive Officer of the life, savings and pensions business in Asia before joining the group management committee in 2016 as the Chief Transformation Officer, responsible for distribution, data, technology, operational excellence and procurement. In 2018, he became Chief Executive Officer International and New Markets and additionally oversaw the Group’s innovation ecosystem from 2020 onwards.

He is a graduate of the Institut d’Etudes Politiques de Paris, an alumnus of the Ecole Normale Supérieure (Paris-Saclay) and the Ecole Nationale d’Administration (ENA) and holds degrees in economics and management.

Joachim Häger, Private Wealth Management Global Head

Since July 2016, Joachim Häger has been a member of the Board of Directors of ODDO BHF SE. He is also a partner of ODDO BHF SCA in Paris and Chairman of the Administrative Board of ODDO BHF (Schweiz) AG. In his function as Private Wealth Management Global Head, he is responsible for Private Wealth Management in Germany, Switzerland, and France.

Before joining ODDO BHF, he worked for Deutsche Bank for around 25 years and took over the management of the business with UHNWI/HNWI clients in Germany in 2007. Starting in 2014, he had joint responsibility for Asset & Wealth Management.

Prior to that, Joachim Häger also worked for many years in Corporate Banking/Corporate Finance and was a member of Deutsche Bank’s Executive Committee for Germany. Since 2005, he was also a member of the global Executive Committee Private Wealth Management.
