Ollie Green is the Founder and Managing Partner of Ollie Green & Company, CPA’s, LLC. Mr. Green founded the firm in July 1978. Prior to his professional accounting and consulting career, Mr. Green served in the United States Marine Corps (USMC) which included a 13-month combat tour of duty in South Viet-Nam. Because of his distinguished military service, Ollie Green & Company, CPA’s, LLC has been certified by the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) as a Service Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). After receiving his Honorable Discharge from the U.S. Marines, Mr. Green enrolled at the University of Louisville and completed his Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting. After graduation, he accepted employment with a Big Four Accounting and Consulting firm (KPMG) before later accepting employment with the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS) where he worked as a Revenue Agent for five years. While working for the IRS, he enrolled in the University of Louisville's Graduate School of Business where he earned his Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA) with a concentration in Accounting and Economics. Mr. Green also received his CPA certificate while working for the IRS. Subsequent to founding Ollie Green & Company, CPA’s, Mr. Green was hired by the University of Louisville to serve as an Instructor of Accounting, Auditing and Taxation courses for seven years. Mr. Green also served as an Instructor for Jefferson Community College (JCC) where he taught intermediate and advanced accounting courses for two years. Mr. Green received the University of Louisville School of Business Distinguished Alum Award in 1996 and the U.S. Small Business Adminisrtation's Award of Excellence in 1999 along with numerous other awards throughout his career. Mr. Green has served on the Boards of the Kentucky Society of Certified Public Accountants and the Salvation Army. He is a current member of the Kentucky Society of CPA’s, (KYCPA), American Institute of CPA’s, (AICPA) and the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). Finally, Mr. Green has established a Scholarship Fund at the University of Louisville. A deserving student that meets the grade point requirement in accounting will receive scholarship funding on an annual basis.
