Our Philosophy of Value Our approach to determining the value of our services is based upon the belief that value is the product of many attributes, such as client expectations, perceptions, and outcomes. Multiplying an hourly rate by the amount of time worked on a project is frequently not the best measurement of the value provided. Although we may consider time incurred on client projects as a management tool for monitoring efforts devoted to client engagements, we believe the value of our services is the product of many factors, some of which are often intangible. We consider the following in determining the value provided: Complexity of the issues encountered during the engagement Expertise of the staff members assigned to the project tasks Outcomes influenced by or attributable to the services we provide Satisfaction with interpersonal relationships Maintenance of client data On occasion, when the objectives of an engagement are not yet defined, hourly or per diem billing rates may be useful to determine the value of our efforts, until such time as the engagement objectives can be formalized.
