The artistic value of our work finds its expression through performance obtained with continuity over time, which satisfies, through its realization, both the Client and the artist.
THE NAME PHOSPHORUS IS DERIVED FROM THE GREEK WORDS (Φως=LIGHT Φερω=CARRY), WHICH ROUGHLY TRANSLATES AS LIGHT-BRINGER OR LIGHT CARRIER. IN ANCIENT GREECE PHOSPHORUS WAS THE NAME GIVEN TO THE MORNING STAR, WHICH BRINGS THE LIGHT AND THE BEGINNING OF THE DAY. WE CALL OURSELVES: PHOSPHOR ASSET MANAGEMENT S.A. Just as the beginning of a story can be very important for a reader, so the beginning of an activity represents an important moment and is often unforgettable, particularly for the principals involved. The principals at Phosphor have a background partly in the world of finance management and partly in the world of industry and enterprise. The manager and his Client, the entrepreneur, met twelve years ago. They immediately bonded to form a profitable working relationship which over the years gradually evolved into a relationship of trust and ultimately into a sincere friendship. The years of work and positive performance helped to stimulate in the entrepreneur the desire to collaborate with the manager in the creation of a small specialized team for the purpose of providing a service responding flexibly to the needs of many other savers and investors. Perhaps unconsciously, but with the reciprocal intuition to be able subsequently to harness the knowledge and capacities of both parties to the service of a demanding Clientele, the two principals decided to create Phosphor as a concrete and direct guideline for the allocation of Clients’ assets. Phosphor’s approach and philosophy is to assist the Client in the choice of asset allocation and the making of investment decisions by first analysing the Client’s detailed needs and then proposing a strategy of discretional investment that is flexible yet congruent with the needs expressed. The Phosphor product is a solution that is differentiated from others as a result of the philosophy from which it springs and the team entrusted with carrying it out. The asset management company, Phosphor Asset Management, was founded in April 2010 by Arnoldo Valsangiacomo, managing partner, and Dr F. Michael Seegy, member of the advisory board. It has its seat at Via P. Peri 15, Lugano. The executive team at the time of foundation, consisted in Arnoldo Valsangiacomo, Managing Partner and Portfolio Manager, Paula Seegy, Managing Partner and Relationship Manager, and Manuela Esposito, Assistant Manager. Phosphor Asset Management is an active member of the Swiss Association of Asset Managers.
