As a subsidiary of Porsche Holding located in Salzburg, Porsche bank AG is an international company offering car financing services.
The Porsche Bank story began in 1966. On the 6th of march the Porsche Konstruktionen KG set a new milestone by offering leasing, a new means of car financing in Austria. In 1974 the leasing department was outsourced to the new company "Allgemeine Leasing-Zentrale Ges.m.b.H.". 1987: Foundation of Porsche Bank AG and its subsidiary Porsche Versicherungs AG. 1997: ARAC Autovermietung Ges.m.b.H. becomes a subsidiary of Porsche Bank AG. Since 1.1.2003 ARAC is a Europcar licensee.
