Regimen Partners is a small business private equity firm dedicated to transforming local and regional companies into powerful multi-national organizations. Our propensity to buy and hold is uncommon for private equity, although our thinking is extremely logical. We invest so much effort in building powerful, cash flowing enterprises, to sell them and boast about short-term gains, makes little sense – to us. Real wealth is generated by adding to, not cycling through. We focus on basic investment principles, meticulously analyze on the front end, target an underserviced market, and do right by our investors. There are no short cuts. Our approach? We follow the Carhartts. Those are the businesses we like. Regimen Partners improves supply chains, grows and nurtures teams, expands into new markets and introduces additional product offerings. The value we create is tangible; we don’t profit by financially re-engineering balance sheets. After strengthening the fundamental operating platform of a given organization, we then re-invest the gains into a new opportunity. The evergreen nature of our investment approach sets us apart. In our eyes, if we take material ownership positions in solid businesses, align our interests with our investors and our business partners, and commit 15 – 20 years to build our companies the honest, old fashioned way, we will all reach our financial goals. Regimen Partners doesn’t invest in resource extraction, real estate, turnarounds, start-ups, nor disruptive technology. Outside of that, if you are in Canada, with EBITDA in excess of $2.0 million, then give us a call. There are no hard and fast rules, we like 50/50 partnerships, control positions and will acquire 100% of a business without lengthy management contract periods. We search for companies that service machinery, firms that build valves, unsexy organizations that will remain relevant over the next 50 years – backbone businesses.
