Adam Robinson is the founder/president/CEO of SevenWealth LLC. He is an independent advisor with Commonwealth Financial Network®. He works with physicians, business owners, and corporate executives. He has 22 years experience in wealth management, specifically in the areas of financial, investment, retirement, 401(k) and pension, stock option, insurance, tax, estate, and business succession planning. Adam’s credentials include a BBA in finance from Stephen F. Austin State University, a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) certification from the College of Financial Planning, and the Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®) designation. Adam has been named three times (2013, 2014, 2015) as a Five StarSM Wealth Manager, Best in Client Satisfaction, in Texas Monthly magazine.* This award represents a level of excellence achieved by fewer than 7 percent of the wealth managers in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Before founding SevenWealth in 2005, Adam spent 11 years gaining a wealth of knowledge and experience at American Express Financial Advisors, Ernst & Young LLP, and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP. At AEFA, Adam learned the value of a comprehensive financial planning approach. While at Ernst & Young LLP, as an investment consulting manager, Adam expanded his knowledge of the analytics behind investment portfolio management. He created and managed the asset allocation in portfolios for corporate executives using third-party money managers. Using special software, Adam monitored and managed these money managers for style drift and was responsible for preparing quarterly benchmarking performance reports. At PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, Adam managed two investment consulting groups (Dallas and Austin). He provided planning and investment portfolio recommendations for a select group of Fortune 100 executives in both locations. Adam was also instrumental in the success of the Financial Education Service Group while at PwC. In this role, he created and presented one- and two-day workshops that included topics on general financial planning, retirement planning, stock options, company benefit changes, DB to DC plans, early retirement severance packages, company takeovers, and stock conversions. This gave Adam the opportunity to travel and experience many of the major cities throughout the U.S. In 2001, Adam's life took a traumatic turn: He lost his first wife, Stephanie, to leukemia 11 months after she was diagnosed on October 5, 2001. Throughout his grieving process, Adam did some serious soul searching and decided to create SevenWealth LLC. Adam is passionate about helping people who are committed to making a difference in the lives of others. In 2002, Adam created the Stephanie Robinson Foundation, a charitable organization that benefits leukemia and lymphoma patients and their caregivers by providing help with planning, emotional support, inspiration, resources, and financial support. In 2003, Adam trained with Team in Training, a running group for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, for the Vancouver Marathon. Adam has since completed four marathons to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and the Stephanie Robinson Foundation. During his involvement with Team in Training, Adam made many lifelong friends. One friend, Sara, moved away for medical school shortly after the Vancouver Marathon. In 2008, as fate would have it, they reconnected and found each other in a healthy place. In October 2009, they got married in Beaver Creek, Colorado. Sara completed her residency at the University of Colorado in 2010. From 2010 to 2014, Adam and Sara lived in Dallas, Texas. In 2011, they had a baby girl named Liliana Isabelle Robinson and in 2012 a baby boy named Henry August Robinson. During this time, they were members of Highland Park United Methodist Church and served in the Children's Ministry. After Sara completed her oncology fellowship with the University of Baylor in Dallas, they were eager to move to Colorado and enjoy the outdoor lifestyle. In August 2014, Adam and his family moved just outside of Boulder, Colorado. Adam established a new business home for SevenWealth in Niwot, Colorado, and Sara started her career as an oncologist with Rocky Mountain Cancer Centers. While Longmont United Hospital is Sara's primary location, she can also be seen helping patients at Boulder Community Health in Boulder and Avista Adventist Hospital in Louisville. In April 2016, on Liliana's 5th birthday, Sara gave birth to identical twin boys: Samuel Owen and Bennett Wesley Robinson. Adam and Sara are members of Flatirons Community Church, located in Lafayette, Colorado. They can be found serving in the Children's Ministry every other Sunday. Adam is also involved with Summit on Tap, a men's group that is focused on defining what it means to live as an intentional man of God. When Adam is not working, he enjoys the occasional adventure race, running, biking, hiking, and skiing. He is an avid sports fan, and despite his great love for Colorado and admiration for the Broncos, he remains a loyal Dallas Cowboys fan. His childhood hero was Roger Staubach. In the summer months, Adam enjoys taking the family to Rock & Rails on Thursday nights to enjoy live music, food trucks, trains, kids playing, and local beer from Bootstrap Brewery. His latest bucket list check off in 2016 was a golf trip to Pebble Beach, California. Adam takes great pride in putting his family first. He is busy living! If you would like to visit with Adam, he can be reached at adam@seven-wealth.com.
