In 2004, after more than 30 years on Wall Street, John Eberhardt Jr. opened Coutant Capital Associates, LLC. This boutique investment and merchant bank focused primarily on the automotive aftermarket sector and quickly gained a reputation for thoroughness, integrity and a tireless work ethic while achieving maximum value for their clients. As the company’s reputation grew, so did the number of clients. Even more importantly, so did the number of return clientele. By 2012 it had become apparent that Mr. Eberhardt had created something special and needed to move to the next level. In 2013, Mr. Eberhardt formed Spencer Pierce Capital, LLC, a new firm to be owned by the partners. The restructured firm has five new Managing Partners and a larger support staff. The breadth of industry coverage and services offered has also expanded. Spencer Pierce now has a new headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey. With satellite locations in California, Florida, New Mexico, and North Carolina, Spencer Pierce is well positioned to accommodate the needs of our clients.
