Types of Strategic Investment Capital Star Mountain Provides: (I) Value-added fund investments Limited partnership commitments to small and medium-sized business-focused credit and private equity fund managers (including anchor investments and a specialization in the SBIC marketplace). Fund commitments range from $5 million to $50 million (including SMAs). In addition to often being the largest limited partner investor, Star Mountain provides co-investment capital to help execute transactions, helps develop and implement best practices, assists with generating top quality deal flow and adds value to fund managers’ portfolios of operating companies to maximize value for all stakeholders. (II) Secondary fund investments Secondary fund investments (sourced through Star Mountain's proprietary network) to provide liquidity to investors in existing private equity or credit funds where Star Mountain is often a primary fund investor. Star Mountain can also help spin management teams out of existing platforms and purchase portions of existing portfolios of established funds. (III) Direct investments and co-investments Direct investments (including purchasing existing investments or portfolios) ranging from $2.5 million to $25 million per company and across any part of the capital structure including senior loans, mezzanine, minority equity and controlling stake equity positions. Star Mountain often collaborates with its portfolio of highly experienced fund managers to create a unique “One Stop Shop” of flexible capital solutions to match business owners with their most appropriate capital structure and value-added investment partner. Companies that Star Mountain provides capital to typically have between $10 million and $150 million of annual revenues and less than $15 million of annual pre-tax earnings.
